Post 16- That's a First

Driving through the estate (Oakwood Housing Estate not our Country Estate!) yesterday I spotted some poppies on the side of the road and thought "That will make a nice photograph". So, I parked up and walked back to find red poppies mixed with blue and white flowers.  I got out my mobile phone and took a few snaps.
I cannot believe that, having been on this journey for just a few months I am now stopping to take pictures of flowers.
I guess this can be counted as progress towards my goal of visual literacy????

Initially I just cropped the original images and was pleasantly surprised by the result.

Later I was inspired to see some of Moy's double exposure images and decided to merge a couple of the shots in Photoshop. The overall result was very pleasing but then small areas attracted my attention and I cut these out to make three different images. I think that I have managed to create a pleasing tapestry effect.
